More about that recent NEW X-MEN plotline
Paul O’Brien has some speculations about the surprise twist in the latest New X-Men. Don’t follow that link, or the following LJ-cut, if you don’t want #146 spoiled!
OK, this answers some of my questions, but I still have a hard time buying that Magneto could so easily use his magnetic powers to simulate the effects of gravity-based powers. I guess part of this is a long-standing dislike of how Magneto’s powers behave so little like real-world magnetism.
I also have my doubts about that business with the key. I guess it could work if Mags got some other mutant to implant the false memories, but I’ll feel like Morrison hasn’t been playing fair if this is some new, previously-unheard-of, mutant, or an old mutant with a new power.
