avram | Signs

I just saw Signs, the new M. Night Shyamalan movie. On a technical level, it’s beautiful. He puts together some great images, does really cool things with sound, and cuts back and forth between tension and humor (and there’s quite a bit of humor) amazingly well. Those are the good bits.

On the bad side, there’s the plot. Oh, man, this is a deeply irrational movie, in ways I can’t describe without giving things away. Ack.
