26 down, 13 to go
Today I got the last check in my regular unemployment benefits; next week starts the first of the extended benefits, and thirteen weeks after that (just after Worldcon, which I suspect I won’t be able to afford, dammit) I’m living off of savings, which should last a month, maybe two.
My brief foray back into 9-to-5 (more like to-6, actually) employment in the spring proved to me that I just can’t do that again. A few days was okay, but after a week I was coming home drained and incapable of doing much of anything meaningful. I gained ten pounds in that six weeks. The money was nice, but having to do that again could literally kill me.
