"Chaos and confusion"

I’d somehow missed the news that NYC may avoid the 33% fare hike scheduled for this weekend. The Straphangers Campaign is arguing in court that the since the MTA lied about its finances (hiding half a billion dollars with accounting sleight of hand), the fare hike and other changes predicated on the lack of that money should be blocked. The MTA is claiming that blocking the changes would cause “chaos and confusion”, poor dears. But really, I’m just journalling this because I like this photo of NY Supreme Court Justice Louis York listening to arguments.

I had a picture of Bill Clinton looking like that taped to my dorm room wall for a while. Not because of anything political, but just because Bill looked as frustrated as some of my classes made me feel.
