When's Firefly gonna be on?

So I’ve been looking forward to Firefly, the upcoming science-fiction show from Joss Whedon, creator of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I’ve been seeing ads on Fox saying “Fridays on Fox”. Now I just saw one saying Wednesdays. Huh? The Fox website for the show tells me the premiere will be on Friday, 20 Sept., but doesn’t say when the show will be regularly showing. This fan site also says it’ll be showing Fridays. I’m confused. Help me, Media Babe!

And a bit of unwelcome news on the fan site, Fox made Joss reshoot the pilot — they want more action and less drama.

As far as I know, this schedule is still right for most shows. And Firefly is still scheduled to air on Friday nights.

I was confused by the times till I noticed the Central Time Zone notice.

Try living in the Rocky Mountain time zone, and notice that it is so unimportant that it is simply never mentioned by tv networks.

Curiously, everything is an hour earlier here than either East or West Coast: network news is at 5:30 p.m.; Leno, Letterman, and Nightline at 10:30 p.m., etc. Prime time runs from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.. It's unnatural, I tell you!

I blame the Republicans.

Non-LiveJournalists are perfectly capable of identifying themselves, as you yourself have demonstrated by typing your name into the body of your post.

What you're really asking for is for LJ to provide a system for non-members to have access to LJ's user verification system (username and password), which is effectively a lesser form of membership. While they certainly could set up such a system, I don't really see much point, since anyone who really cares could probably just get an account and then not use it for keeping an actual journal, but just for commenting in other users' journals.

Or maybe you're asking for a dedicated field in the comment form for non-members to enter their names. Not much point, really, other than pretty formatting. It wouldn't really make you non-anonymous, since without the backing of the password system, and random Joe could claim to be you.

Well, any random Joe could pretend to be you anyway, but it would cost an account to do so, and LJ is set up to make it non-trivial for people to have lots of throwaway accounts.
