Miyazaki's "Howl's Moving Castle"

I’d heard quite some time ago that Studio Ghibli had optioned Diane Duane’s Diana Wynne Jones’s Howl’s Moving Castle, but now I hear that it’s going to be his next film! Projected for release in the summer of ’04.

Thinking back on it, I seem to recall that I read Howl’s because Stacey Davies recommended it to me. Stacey’s been dead for over a decade now. Damn, I feel old.

Typo -- that's Diana Wynne Jones's Howl's Moving Castle.

I'd have have suggested Homeward Bounders, myself.
I think it would make a stronger film.

Bad News: This little tidbit about it being his next film has been around the otkaunet ever since the option. It's probably true, but on the other hand, it could be a while. Here's hoping, though.

A decade?
