Anybody else?

So this morning, I’m cleaning my glasses like always, and PLINK! the left lens falls out!

Not far to fall, just a couple inches into the sink, so it doesn’t break. But it also isn’t fixable with stuff I have around the house, because the screw holding the templepiece together has snapped. Not a tremendous problem; most places that sell glasses will fix this sort of thing for free, and there’s a LensCrafters on the way to work. I go upstairs and get my old glasses that I keep as a backup.

They’re filthy from not having been worn in five years, so I take them downstairs to the sink and wash them, and PLINK! the left lens falls out!

At least this pair is fixable with the small screwdriver in my Leatherman. So, fix, eat breakfast, get dressed, go into Manhattan, stop off at LensCrafters, go to work, tell my co-worker about it.

Turns out that his left contact lens had fallen out that morning.

The left lens in my sunglasses falls out about once a month. I like to think it's because I have a very low-level beam of concussive force that fires constantly from my left eye...

Well, that's what you get for dating Emma Frost.

I don't wear glasses or contacts.

I am accordingly being very careful with my left eye socket right now.

Checking. Glasses intact. I did forget to strap down the left hand side of my satchel when I left the office.
