Dip pens

For the past day or so I’ve had this intense urge to get out my old dip pens. I haven’t touched the things in months, but I miss the line quality I can get with a dip pen that I can’t manage with a marker. Actually, I didn’t do too well with the dips pens this time. I guess I need to practice more, or perhaps I was using the wrong paper, too fibrous.

I didn’t get around to fiddling with them till now, ’cause I was working on that for-pay project. I’ve got to make 412 teeny little images, and according to the little Perl script I wrote to keep track of my progress:
106 done, 306 to go -- 25% finished.

It's not. I've just been doing other stuff. Not necessarily productive stuff, unfortunately.

What I really need to do is just start writing dialog and short random scenes, and see if more plot crystallizes around that.
