Just this afternoon I was joking about Saddam Hussein having a LiveJournal, and now a friend on a mailing list pointed me at [livejournal.com profile] kim_jong_il__. There’s also [livejournal.com profile] kim_jong_il. [livejournal.com profile] osama seems to have run out of steam after two pretty uninspired entries, and [livejournal.com profile] binladen and [livejournal.com profile] osamabinladen have been suspended. [livejournal.com profile] saddam seems to be an actual, earnest journal by some guy named Grant with weird taste in handles, [livejournal.com profile] hussein is pretty much unused, and [livejournal.com profile] saddamhussein has no entries (though I like his AOL IM name and interests).

Most of the people doing these seem to get bored of them after a while. [livejournal.com profile] georgewbush hasn’t been updated in a year, [livejournal.com profile] georgebush has no entries, [livejournal.com profile] dubya has been “deleted and purged”, and [livejournal.com profile] bush had one entry at the start of the war after a couple of years with none.

[livejournal.com profile] clinton has six entries, most recent at the end of 2001, [livejournal.com profile] billclinton seems to be another actual journal by someone who chose a jokey handle, and only made one entry, and that incoherent. [livejournal.com profile] hillaryclinton has no entries, [livejournal.com profile] hillary has two boring ones. [livejournal.com profile] bobdole is a friends-only journal that doesn’t seem to have anything to do with that guy who ran for president and talks like Cerebus, but does have a nice design.
