Some minimal productivity

OK, so I didn’t waste all day in front of the Internet. Since I seem to get more sketching done when I’m out of the house, I zipped over to Ground, a local coffee shop (running into neighbor and former co-worker Sam on the way) for an iced coffee and (bad of me) a raspberry and cream cheese brownie.

The observant reader will have noticed the demonic women theme running through a lot of my sketches for the past few months. I’ve got this idea for a comic strip that I’m trying to coax into something coherent. Today I came closer than I ever had to nailing down the appearances of a couple of the characters.

The brush markers are forcing me to work simpler, to create more basic forms. I like this.

Now I should head downstairs. We’re hosting Games-Club-in-Exile, and people are starting to show up.
