Today’s art loot: A Canson 11x14 sketch pad, left-hand spiral-bound (because I was unsatisfied with the top glue-bound newsprint pad I’d been using), and a teeny tiny flat brush. I’ve got a particular project in mind. I’m giving myself a few more days to sketch ideas and layouts, and want to get to laying down paint before the end of the week. No scans on this one; it’s a surprise for someone who may be reading this space.

"Give me my money back, you bitch!"
Jun. 2nd, 2002 11:01 pmThe five $8 CDs I got a few days back were a mixed bag. My favorite of the bunch is Ben Folds Five’s Whatever and Ever Amen, which I haven’t taken out of my five-disk CD carousel since first putting it in. Best songs: “Song for the Dumped”, “Kate”, and “Steven’s Last Night in Town”. (I’m not as taken with “Brick” as most critics seem to be, though I don’t dislike it.)
Hey, looks like they have a bunch more albums! I know what I’m doing tomorrow....
