The grapes and cherries are sitting in my fridge, untouched. Yesterday I was just too busy working on <classified>, and forgot to take snack breaks. (Snacking while actually painting can be hazardous to one’s health, unless one is using entirely non-toxic paints, which I most certainly am not.) Today Chris and I joined my parents and grandparents at my sister and her husband’s place in Mt. Kisco for a Fathers Day barbecue, so I’m quite full. I ate more than I probably ought, but that’s OK, ’cause I somehow lost five pounds this past week! And that’s with only going to the gym three times. Go me!

Arg. I’m having a terrible time restraining myself from biting my nails (unfortunate habit), yet I must, because they’re smeared with residual titanium white. Yes, <classified>.

Oh, I finished Lord of Light a few days back, and yeah, it was just as great as it ever was, if not moreso. I noticed that some of the assumptions I’d sloppily made about Nirritti the Black on my earlier readings were Just Plain Wrong, and he does not actually have the power to raise the dead as zombies (though it’s an easy mistake to make).

I’ve started on John Barnes’s Finity, which is turning out to be quirky and clever. I especially like the AI cabs. I’m not far into it, though, not having much time for reading.
