Hoping for the house

ladymondegreen, Wil, and I have been hunting around for an apartment to move into together, someplace cheap where we can ride out the Bush economy. Today we looked at a great place in Jersey City, two floors of a house with three bedrooms and more storage space than I’ve ever seen in a rental. Oh, and a free broadband Internet connection. (Speaking of which, my dialup connection seriously suxx0rs tonight.) It’s ten minutes’ walk from the PATH train, with a decent amount of local shopping and a branch of New York Sports Club nearby. It’s not perfect (the perfect living space would be of infinite size for storage purposes and zero size for cleaning), but it’s pretty damn great. We luvs it.

Unfortunately, we seem to be in competition with another group for it. We got our act together and filled out applications first, so it ought to be ours, but the owner feels obliged to give the other folks a chance as well. We should know for certain tomorrow. Hope hope hope hope....
