I joined [livejournal.com profile] bigscary — along with [livejournal.com profile] ladymondegreen, [livejournal.com profile] akawil, [livejournal.com profile] mnemex, [livejournal.com profile] feiran, and a couple of non-LJ folks — for his sushi expedition last night. All you can eat for $18, and some very nice salmon, eel, and yellowtail. Mmmm. Was probably a mistake, though, as I’ve gained three pounds overnight. Easy go, easy come.

Finished up Paths of the Dead on the subway back, then read the afterword at home. (It wasn’t in the bound galley I’ve been using as a carrying-around copy, but Wil’s got the hardcover; so do I, somewhere.) “You have to be orderly when you pile up that many clauses at once; otherwise they’ll fall over” is a characteristically Teresa sentence.

Now I need something new to read. I was considering finally getting around to The King’s Peace and The King’s Name, now that they’re in easy-to-schlep rack-sized paperback and everything, but my eye is attracted by the books [livejournal.com profile] cthulhia lent me, Secret Games of the Gods and The Matisse Stories. (My eye is also often attracted by Cthulhia, but, well.)

Did an upper-body workout, first time in over two weeks. Y’know, I bought a two-month subscription to LJ, partly to get a free code to start [livejournal.com profile] nycsuspects, but also to see if the faster servers we supposedly get access to as paid users suck any less than the free ones. Far as I can tell, they don’t. I’m still getting timeouts trying to check agrumer.livejournal.com just like I did with www.livejournal.com/users/agrumer.
