[ Melorne thumbnail ]So I’m avoiding doing art I oughta do (a drawing of [livejournal.com profile] mnemex’s character for [livejournal.com profile] bigscary’s game to earn me another character-creation point) for the art in aid of some other art I oughta be doing (a comic strip). At least I’m finally starting to get the hang of that Japanese brush pen. And with the bottom two of the four facial studies behind the cut tag, I think I’m finally settling on a consistent look, set of facial proportions, etc.

There’s a woman at the office whose hair is just about the right length and texture to use as a model for Melorne’s hair. I’ve been sneaking peeks at her every time I pass her desk. In general I’ve been looking a lot more then I used to at women’s hair and clothing as I pass them on the street or see them on the subway; they probably think I’m a lecher. At least I’m not just staring at their boobs.
