The one on the left here was done with a Tombo brush marker on Strathmore drawing paper; the one on the right (which you’ve seen before) is Staedtler-Mars brush marker on Holbein multi-purpose paper. Note the slightly different colors — the Tombo washes out blue, while the Staedtler is more purple. I like the Staedtler better, but some of that may just be the paper.

Staedtler-Mars again, on the left. The right is Caran-D’ache Neocolor II water-soluble crayon. (Inked with waterproof pen, of course.)
