Realizations I’ve had over the past year or so that I suspect are true, but don’t really understand yet:

• Magic is a form of parallel processing.
• Gods are languages.
• Selves are stories.

Selves are stories

I agree with that one. (Will have to meditate on the other two.) "We are the creations of the stories we tell ourselves," as the saying goes. Also, how we react to life is more important than what happens, I think. (I'm also aware when I say that that I was born in a position of nearly unparalleled privilege -- caucasian, male, heterosexual, north american, late baby boomer -- so that's easy for me to say.)

Does this make sense?

I like the new pic, too. THAT statement makes sense.

Thanks. I just realized that I didn't quite like how the drip of yolk came out, or rather, I realized why I didn't like it, and what I'd have to do to fix it, so I just edited it. (Odds are it's too subtle a difference for anyone but me to notice.)
