Panix’s email server appears to be down. Or something like that — I haven’t been able to download mail today (my client tells my the POP3 server isn’t accepting my password, which my just mean that it’s getting to that part of the exchange when it realizes the server isn’t responding), but I can SSH into a Panix Unix shell (I don’t think I’ll ever be able to settle for an ISP that doesn’t provide shell access) and use Mutt to see that I do, indeed, have mail, and read it (mostly list chatter), and I could even respond if I felt like. But that’s a bigger pain in the ass than just having SweetMail query a server on its own every ten minutes, so if anyone mails me and I don’t respond, that’s probably why.

Update: Huzzah, it’s working again!
