Generous parents

My parents had a spare comforter they wanted to give me, and I wanted to pick up those weights, so we arranged to meet in Manhattan. The advantage here is that my mother then decided to pay for the weights. (I considered getting a mat too, but I can hold off on that. They’ve got yoga mats for $25, rolled up so I can carry one home myself.) And then they gave me a check for my birthday (coming up this Friday) that’ll just about cover my share of this month’s rent. Now where’s that website with the dumbbell workouts ... oh, there it is.

Now I can start working out. I’d been wondering where my dynamic, energetic mood from a few months back had gone, and I think it may have something to do with not having exercised since November.
