BigScary made me do it

Because bigscary’s been yelling at me in AIM all afternoon to draw, here’s the first sketch so far of Mercy, the protagonist of Black Persimmon. That’s an antenna/signal amplifier she’s wearing in her ear. I’ve also spent a bit more time working out the plot. I’ve got titles for all three acts, and I’ve got a much better idea of who Mercy’s god is, or was. Still don’t really have much of an ending. Need to do a bit more research into trusted-client computer architectures, I think. (Research pretty much always gives me ideas.)

Tried something new today: cottage cheese. First time I’ve eaten it as an adult. Not bad. I had one of those pre-packaged things with one compartment of low-fat cottage cheese and another of raspberry jam. I think I can even make do with less jam.

Can’t find my damn ebony pencil.

I also spent too much of the day reading Demonology 101, an online comic recommended on MegaTokyo.

The sketch doesn't look terribly feminine. I don't know why I care, since I've always considered myself fairly butch for a straight woman. I guess fictional androgyny just bugs me. She's your character, of course.
