Color testing
Mar. 25th, 2003 01:03 amOK, been a little bit productive today:
- Bought a bunch of canvases.
- Prepped five of them with absorbent ground. (I like the papery surface this provides; makes for nice glazes.)
- I’ve got a specific project in mind for another canvas that I haven’t yet prepped; that one’s gonna take a colored ground.
- I’ve done a bit of color testing for the abovementioned project; The Acrylic Painter’s Pocket Palette suggested napthol crimson and Naples yellow hue would give me the shades I wanted, but I don’t have either of those colors. A little testing has convinced me that cadmium yellow medium and quinacidrone red will do just fine, perhaps even better.
I also ate too damn much. That curry beef. Oooog, it was like ten hours ago and I still feel full!
Oh, hey, is anyone wondering just how we’re supposed to feel about the Iraqis? Wonder no more.
