[ working out in the rain ] So there I was, getting my workout togs on to go out for a Heavyhands session, when I heard a rain-like rattling on the roof outside my bedroom window. I took a peek, but it didn’t look like rain, it looked like a squirrel. (Must remember to get a screen for my window so I don’t inadvertently invite the wild outdoors indoors.) I checked my WeatherManX menu icon, and it indicated 74°F and cloudy. Nice walking weather.

Cake’s Motorcade of Generosity in the CD player, keys in my pocket, heartrate monitor on my wrist, weights in my hands, out I go, and ... gee, it feels cold out, and the sidewalk looks wet, and that rattling on the awning, yeah, it’s raining, lightly.

Lightly enough that I can take it. Back indoors for a jacket, back outside, start striding and swinging my arms, get about halfway down the block before I realize that the rain is getting harder. OK, I can take a hint. No workout today.

At which point WeatherManX said it was 64°F and raining. Gee, thanks.

And now, and hour later, after I’ve showered and dressed and had breakfast, it’s done raining.

Really like the art, but have you shaved your head? Or is that artistic license?

I love the drawing, and have really enjoyed the sketches you've been posting. I've pointed my... umm... friend [livejournal.com profile] scholargipsy at your LJ as he also does cartooning. (He says I should add "and is brilliant." :)

I am amused by the way the rain is bouncing off the thought bubble. It's as though you were being protected by your own grumpiness, a non-standard, but no doubt useful, superpower.
