[livejournal.com profile] supergee point me at this quiz:

[take the test] - [by krystaljungle.com]

If I’m elite, the quiz must have pretty lax standards. And it does. For one thing, it fails to distinguish between grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Ellipses (that’s the proper plural; the quiz says “ellipsis”) spanning more than three periods are errors, but they’re not errors of grammar. And the proper answer (it depends) for number 4 (do periods go within or outside of quotation marks) wasn’t one of the choices given.

None of the answers for question 5 were really right for me either.

I’d love to see a quiz like this written by Teresa.

It's also notably poorly written. Bad show all around, really.

There doesn't seem to be an intermediate "I know how to use grammar, but I don't hold it over people's heads" result.

Yeah, but I really wanted to be an Elite Grammar Whore. Who wouldn't?

Actually, I think I prefer being an obscure grammar whore.

I wanted an option for "the quiz doesn't know what it's talking about!".
