Teresa’s pointed out the Heart Attack plastic keychain knife, a very clever and affordable self-defense device. I think it would get through security checks easier if it were pink with a Hello Kitty face on it.

I keep thinking it could come in handy as a gardening tool too! It looks literally like a spade -- the kind on cards -- and could work for digging up weeds or transplanting newly acquired plants (such as stolen ^h^h^h^h^h^h rescued irises (http://www.livejournal.com/users/laffwv/2003/05/18/)) when you don't want to stop and look for your real digging tools.
