First night at the new place

I just spent my first night in the new apartment. On the sofabed mattress on the living-room floor, but it still counts. The Ikeans are supposed to be here sometime in the next four hours with almost enough furniture, and someone needs to be here for them.

Got three or four hours of sleep, during which I dreamed that Cerebus had gone back to being a comic book.

Furniture!

Ikeans come, Ikeans go, furniture is left, a form is signed, a tip is given.

Now I’m basking in broadband heaven, waiting for my room to warm up enough that I can assemble the things with funny names. I’ve just read Derek Kirk’s Same Difference and Oliver Pikk strips; I’d found Kirk’s comics site Small Stories through Scott McCloud’s site back when I was visiting with cthulhia after Thanksgiving, and bookmarked it for further investigation when I had a wider pipe to suck it down. Go check it out, Same Difference is one of the best web strips I’ve seen.

Annoyances in today's Buffy

OK, it’s a bridge episode, intended to give us a few more details and set up the Cool Stuff. Not great like some of the recent ones have been, but OK. Still, some gripes...
