Not too wasted a day
Oct. 15th, 2006 09:21 pmMan, yesterday sucked. Ever have one of those dreams where you wake up and then it turns out you’re still asleep? I had that, over and over again. I think I was stuck in that loop for three hours, if my glimpses of my clock were real and not just part of the dream loop. I was stuck in bed till 2 PM, and pretty much just wasted the rest of the day. Well, not totally; I did get caught up on my comics reading.
Today I got up at a reasonable hour and went into the city to buy pants. This was a bit distressing, as I seem to have gained another size (and they were out of the pants I wanted in that size, so I had to buy one size even larger), and big fat guy pants just cost too damn much money. So now it’s time to start re-acquiring some of those old weight-loss habits. ’Cause I want me some cheap pants.
Then I walked around a bit. Picked up another history book at Barnes & Noble — I am totally on a historical non-fiction kick now. Had some green tea at Starbucks and finally broke in the notebook I’d been carrying around for comics scripting. Sushi and tempura udon for dinner, browsing DVDs at Best Buy (Season 1 of Deadwood is $10 cheaper there than at B&N, but it’s $18 cheaper still on Amazon), reading more of Jacoby’s Freethinkers. Didn’t actually get a whole lot more done than yesterday, but the walking makes me feel more accomplished.
