Probable work

The interview went well. They were very impressed with my test skills — did I mention the test? They’ve got a bunch of Photoshop files on an FTP site, and they asked applicants to download them, make some changes, and then upload the altered files. I did this last Friday, uploaded over the weekend, and Tuesday’s email contained a offer of an interview.
It looks like I’ve probably got work if they sign on the client they’re courting. I’ll know next week, or the week after. It’s freelance, so sometimes they’ll have work for me, and other times not. I’ll probably have stuff all through October, and after that, who knows. I might even be able to work from home. I celebrated with curry beef over rice at the Excellent Dumpling House, browsed through Pearl Paint, wandered back up to 10th Street, geeked out over brush pens at NY Central (there was another Japanese pen that I nearly bought), then came home. I’d nearly forgotten about Thursdays being Chess Night with James at Ground. I changed, grabbed my Icehouse set (I’d promised to show him Martian Chess), and headed over, but either he didn’t show or he’d already been and left.
There’s a list of every known Icehouse game (including Spicklehead), but it links to the same Martian Chess rules I link to above, which don’t include the new rule
