Stupid axial tilt

There must be something wrong with my brain. Six months is long enough for me to totally forget how to dress for the weather. Well, OK, not totally. Today’s 60°F is clearly not warm enough for just a t-shirt and shorts, and it’s not cold enough for a full parka, but I’ve not much notion of what stage in between is comfortable.
This happened back when the weather was getting hotter, too. It takes me a couple weeks to recalibrate my weather-to-dress sense. Do normal people have this problem?
Hm. I think I can get away with the sandals for another ten degrees or so.

The problem is that the weather varies, especially in spring and fall. What's comfortable when you leave the house in the morning may not suit what it's like when you leave work. And I can't wear long sleeves to work because it's too [expletive deleted] hot in here most of the time.
Today, here, for example, it went down into the 30s overnight -- weather that makes you think about the parka -- but the high will be near 60, when a sweater should be sufficient.

Date: 2003-10-02 06:39 am (UTC)I get two serious cold/flu things every year. One in the fall when I wear too light clothing after I should, and one in the spring when I try to go without a coat too early. It never fails.
