Broadway and 17th Street
Jul. 13th, 2002 01:39 amWent to Games Club In Exile tonight, at JI’s place. Thought Josh had said East 17th Street, but wasn’t sure, and was aware that I wasn’t sure, so I crossed Fifth Avenue to check out West 17th, and found an apartment that looked familiar, and so wound up not having to disturb the poor folks on East 17th by ringing their doorbell. Played a little Zendo, and that’s it. Had been hoping to play Meuterer, which I’ve not yet played despite having owned it for like a year already, but it’s a real gamer’s game, not the sort of thing you can play when people are tired or with folks who prefer social games.
But well before all that I arrived at Union Square early, and hung out for a while reading Declare and sketching:
(Hmm. Comics, drawings, Powerpuffs, tiny GIF movies, nothing. Post about a technical matter concerning Yahoo email, and I get four comments in a few hours. I was sure that Mimi at least would say something about the Powerpuff generator. Whine, whine.)

Date: 2002-07-13 08:04 am (UTC)The PPG generator was fun, the cell-phone movies don't work in iCab even with ECMAscript turned on. The comics sound interesting, but these days I don't have a lot of time left for fiction at the end of the day.
I am eagerly looking forward to your comments on Declare and how much your preparatory reading was relevant.
