[livejournal.com profile] lumpley is fiddling with some neat ideas in the form of Dogs in the Vineyard, an indie RPG about the early days of the Church of Latter Day Saints. I’m especially intrigued by the way he’s handling religious faith — the GM gets no say whatsoever in how God feels about the actions of the PCs. Instead, the players get to decide whether their characters have sinned or have clear consciences or whatever, with various different advantages to be gained for each possible state. (Scroll down a bit; he tosses out some possible mechanics in a comment.)

This is actually about your most recent post about having bad luck. Have scanned page, and am blanking on context -- what's up? (If it's something really clear and I'm missing it, apologies -- was up till 3am for larp prep, then up at 9:30 am, and ready to crash now.)
