Just read Criminal Macabre, and it’s got me thinking second thoughts about picking up that Ghost Rider story (assuming Marvel goes for it). Templesmith’s art is sloppy, and I don’t mean the fact that he’s clearly heavily inspired by Bill Sienkiewicz (whose work I like a lot). I mean that his action scenes are often indecipherable, or just plain unconvincing. Bill Niles’s writing is sloppy too (he starts out framing the story as something his protagonist is telling to some cops who’ve picked him up as a suspect, which means that the bits of narration where he admits to crimes are somewhat less than bright, but then goes on to include scenes that the protagonist wasn’t a witness to), but he isn’t in on the Ghost Rider thing, so that’s not as much of an issue.

I've got issues 1-4 of "Ghost Rider 2099" if you're interested. It was part of a series Marvel did in the early 90's to cash in on that whole "cyberpunk" thing.

I'm actually trying to offload a smallish collection of comics, but most of them are "Knights of the Dinner Table," which I'm not sure you'd be interested in.
