Bush scared of triple amputee
Aug. 25th, 2004 10:55 pmGeorge W Bush demonstrated today that he’s not enough of a man to look former US Senator Max Cleland in the eye.
Cleland, who lost both legs and an arm in Vietnam, lost his Senate seat in 2002 after being smeared by an opponent who accused him of being unpatriotic and questioning his courage. Today he tried to visit Bush at his ranch in Crawford, Texas to personally deliver a letter from nine Senators asking Bush to condemn the false attacks on John Kerry by the “Swift Boat Vets”.
The Bush campaign, hearing ahead of time about the visit, had a roadblock set up.

Gee, ain't that a kick in the pants from the party that swore to be loyal to you when you slandered your way into Mark Green's seat, Mr. Mayor?
