Since today is National Coming Out Day, I thought you all should know: I’m a fat, bald science-fiction nerd.

Thank you for coming up with a far better post than anything I could, and making me smile as well.

(Oh, and me too; now, what kind of sticker/flag/emblem do we get?)

What do you have against the propeller-beanie flag? It's traditional!

Well, for the larger SFN community, it's fine, but us FBSFNs have to make sure the propeller attachment doesn't hurt when we wear the beanie.

At least we don't have to ask "does this beanie make me look fat?" because we already know the answer.

That's great! It's fine that you can just come out and say a thing like that. I'm very happy for you.

Oh, say, if... someone had a friend, say, who had some of those characteristics, and wanted to help his friend come clean with it and admit to the world... the friend, I mean... uhm...

Uhm. Hell.

Say, Avram (leans forward), do you like black and white movies where scientists explain stuff to each other all the time?
