Apparently today is International Change Your Icon Day, which I’m noting only because it gives me an excuse to use this one.

I think the German word for a man who sits down to pee is sitzsprinkler, but that looks so much like fake German after typing it out I bet I've been misled.

Can you recommend a tool for making animated GIFs (icons)? The only ones Debbie has were made for her by others.

If you mean free tools that’ll run on Windows, no. I used Photoshop, and I remember there being a freeware Mac (pre-OSX) tool a few years back, but can’t recall the name. Google is probably more use than I am.

The freeware Mac program was GIF Animator. I've generally used ImageReady (an Adobe product they bundle with Photoshop so it doesn't cannibalize its sales).

The Gimp gives you the option to save layers as an animation when you save as gif. Used it to make this icon.
