“Think how marginalized racists are. […] If we don’t address this now, it will only get worse.”

Pretty out-of-context there. The "it" that will get worse is marginalization of right-wing Christians, not racists.

Yeah, but look at the comparison: Oh, those poor racists, how marginalized they are, we could wind up like that.
