I moderate the alumni email list for my highschool graduating class (Bronx Science, 1984). This morning, a message came through from a former classmate stationed in Iraq. The top was date-stamped:

February 17, 2007 * 1914 local time

…and I thought to myself, July, or August?

But your email list (I was going to say the 1984 list but that looks strange!) sounds like it's more interesting than the 1978 one. Ours is mostly stupid jokes, with occasional catchings-up by people I never knew.

Our list was started up a few years back for the purpose of planning our 20th-year reunion (which went pretty well). After that it sorta died down, and we had no messages at all for a while, and then someone started talking about a 25th-year reunion. But when it's not quiet, it's mostly the party planning, or stupid jokes and occasional catchings-up.
