So the plumber showed up today. Two guys, actually, and neither one of them the guy who showed up when the first act played out last year. I showed them the sights, and they said they’d have to look around upstairs. The guy in the upstairs apartment wasn’t home, so no more was done today. At least there’s been no repeat of last Friday’s tremendous leakage, and very little of the minor leakage I’ve occasionally had to deal with either, so I don’t expect the ceiling to tear itself loose and leap floorwards anytime soon.
There’s something very wrong-feeling about a Wednesday with no new comics. I expect new issues of New X-Men and Sandwalk Adventures tomorrow. Have I mentioned Sandwalk Adventures? It’s a comic about evolution, in the form of a conversation between Charles Darwin and a mite living in his eyebrow.
I wore my Anime Expo NY t-shirt today — it’s black, with a small circular red-and-white Anime Expo logo on the left breast. I stopped in at Utrecht Art Supply, which was so full of art students with shopping lists that the line stretched halfway through the store. The clerks wear black t-shirts with a small circular red-and-white Utrecht logo on the left breast. People kept asking me questions....
