avramHey, TVLAND (Channel 18 on Brooklyn Cablevision) shows old Barney Miller reruns at 2:30 AM! Excellent! I’d been wondering for a while why it seemed that nobody was showing it. One of the best sitcoms of all time.
I discovered it while trying out Watson, a way spiffy program for MacOS X. It’s a customized web services interface with a bunch of preset channels for things like Google searches, TV listings, weather forecasts, dictionary and encyclopedia lookups, etc.
Chris asks does it still hold up?
Date: 2002-10-23 07:51 am (UTC)To non-New Yorkers: this is as close to the real heart of NYC as anyone has gotten outside the classic film "The Taking of Pelham One Two Three," one of the few films that gets the anger of this place right. But NYC is really a comedy at its core.
