Hurty feet

[ feet ] The plan for today was to go to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, sketch stuff for a while, then finish up with a treadmill session at the gym. I got to the Met only an hour before closing, so I bagged that idea, stopped off at Midtown Comics to see if they had the Kissing Chaos TPB and the first volume of Wish (they did!), and then went to the gym for 45 minutes of walking at about 3.5 MPH on a surface whose incline changed randomly.

So now my feet hurt, but it’s the good kind of pain. Well, one of the good kinds of pain. I wonder if there are any workout-oriented BDSM scenes out there. I’ve seen commercials that imply that weight machines are exciting someone’s libido. (Just curiosity, honest!)

Slightly larger variety of body types today, since I showed up during the post-work rush.

Have I mentioned my intent to try and have at least one illustrated entry each day? Or that oohs and aahs would not be unwelcome?

I love your illustrations. The more the better, as far as I'm concerned. Oooh! Aaaah!

I like the hurty feet, though not on you. :(

Keep at it, I think you're getting better each day.

*hugs*

I just stumbled in here from Making Light's comments section cause somebody was talking about you being one of those folks who can draw stuff and I thought that I'd never seen original art on Pigs & Fishes where I frequently stop by to read, so I clicked on through to here, and Holy Crumb! the drawings are both delightful and delovely and I just had to say thanks for putting some new images out into the world where people like me could see them and to let you know that I'm looking forward to whatever other stuff, visual or verbal, might show up here in your journal. This run-on sentence courtesy of the not particularly anonymous Jeff Youngstrom (http://tomecat.com/jeffy/).

Chris says that'd be me.

I'm of course biased, as I get to sleep with the guy on occasion.

BTW, Avi, the legs aren't hairy enough, and I'm not certain the feet are shaped correctly. This is meant as encouragement. I can ooh and aah over more personal things, after all.

I think your pictures are great. I've considered asking if I could put them in a fanzine a few times but the quality they'd lose would be unfair on them.

Wish is great. I wish I had the gift video on Blacksoot to show you, as it cranks the beauty of the comic WAY up.

Which reminds me, Marvel released the first two Morrison NewXmen GNs as a hardcover compilation volume containg MORE material, for less than the cost of the two softcovers. I got it. I'll bring it to GC. It's full of Morrison being himself. (How many writers could write about "The event horizon of his brain" and make it cool?)
