Just finished tonight’s Buffy. Well, well, well. There’s a cliffhanger for you.

I recognized the tune Spike was humming at the beginning of the ep via a parody. I spent the first couple of commercial breaks googling for the original, and eventually found the lyrics, just a bit before the first verse and chorus wound up being actually sung in the show.

EXCELLENT. I thought that was a trad ditty of some sort -- I think that is in fact the same site I got the lyrics to the finale sung at the last Great Big Sea concert I attended, too. :)

Yes, my roomie utsuri and I have temporarily joined the 'We Hate Joss' club on grounds of the last two seconds of that ep. :-> I have additional ammo for my membership application, because now I can't stop HUMMING that song ...

It'll wear off. It always wears off. My membership is constantly lapsing and being renewed.

Aw, didn't you folks see it coming? Seriously, the moment I saw the guy coming in behind Giles with an axe, I knew they'd cut away like that. It was just too late in the episode for anything else to happen, and we know Giles isn't going to die before Joss can make the Ripper miniseries.
