Down to 268. I’ll get some of that back over the weekend, but it’s a good trend. I expect to be into new territory by the end of next week. I’m still not fully on the BFL food plan; mostly, but I still have unauthorized snacks.

And I just got a small George Foreman grill; they’re just $13 at Amazon. (Whoops, now $15.) We grilled sliced squash on it last night, because [livejournal.com profile] ladymondegreen wanted to try it out before I treyfed it with unkosher meat. Works pretty well.

Thanks, to Patrick, I’ve discovered the Friends of the High Line.

The High Line is the standing remains of an elevated freight railway from the 1930s, running from 34th Street down into the teens on the West Side. I used to work in a building that abutted it (visible in this photo montage), and I’d always wondered what it was.

A group of property owners in the area wants the line demolished, hoping that doing so will raise the value of their holdings. The Friends of the High Line want to transform it for public use, perhaps into an elevated park with views of the Hudson.
