Lost lock

[ padlock ] My gym-going habits have changed. In the old days I used to go in the morning. I’d put on my gym clothes (before getting dressed in normal clothes), work out, then come home, shower, and dress. If I woke up too late or frittered the morning away on something else I took it as an excuse to not work out.

Since my gym’s no longer on the next block, but a subway commute away, I have to get dressed to go there, which means I often wind up going in the afternoon or evening. One less excuse to skip. And I get the immeasurably pleasant experience of showering immediately after a workout. Ahhhh.

I got to the gym a bit after 6 PM today, then discovered that I’d somehow lost my lock. Had to go out and buy a new one. Pain in the ass. I almost gave up and went home, but I figured I’ve been working out for less than a week, it’s way too early to be giving up and skipping days.

*nice* coloring on that lock. Took me an extra few moments to realize that no, that isn't a photo, that's *drawn*.

That is a nice drawing.

I now have two combination locks, because I got to my gym one day without mine, and bought a second (at the gym). I've used it once since, and lent it to P. the time we went to the beach.

Very good lock indeed. I lost mine and bought one recently -- I think it says something that the only lock I could find around here in RepublicanLand is red-white-and-blue on its face. Sooooo "patriotic."
