Food is the new sex. Poverty is the new black. Or maybe gray is the new black, and green is the new orange. Hate is the new love. Fat is the new thin.

And in synch with the world of fashion and color, your "gray is the new black/green is the new orange" link has already been cast aside and now pink is the new orange. Out of all of them, I loved Fat is the new thin - especially this bit:

"It'll all about the butt of Jennifer Lopez, the ankles of Hillary Clinton, and the stomach of Catherine Zeta-Jones (when she was pregnant)," says Bill Blass. "I just bought a Rubens painting, and I'm fixated by it. I was staring at my cleaning lady Gertrude today, and I almost grabbed onto her, so mesmerized was I by her flesh. My God, she's fabulous."

At last the rest of the world is catching up with my taste. Though I'd never noticed Hillary's ankles. I'm not much of an ankle man.

Or not. Now that I've actually read the article, it's pretty clearly a piece of fictional satire.

I don't care. Fat women are still fabulous.
